If you are running any type of online business for any length of time, by now you will have come to terms with the fact that traffic is the lifeblood of your business. Without traffic, your business and your vision will die an untimely death. No traffic, no profit, no online business.

Period.

Therefore, sending traffic to your website is a task that you will never get over every day of your business life. Free or paid traffic, you will have to decide which ones you are comfortable with in conjunction with your budget.

Once you’ve settled on a number of traffic sources, it’s time to take your business to the next level: set it and forget it.

Your long-term plans must include automation of your business. This includes not only traffic but, to the extent possible, other aspects such as keyword research, autoresponder messages, the entire marketing funnel, etc.

One thing is very common with Internet Businesses: they are constantly CHANGING. Old things disappear or are overhauled, while some are completely replaced with new ones. After the initial setup of your business, your main job will be to stay on your toes so you can make simple changes to your site or product to keep it up to date.

The best way to stay up to date on your niche is to sign up for Google Alert to be kept informed of the latest developments in the market that may positively or negatively affect your product. For this purpose, you are also advised to sign up to the lists of your beloved gurus as they are popular and well established in the business.

They are always the ones getting advanced information on any major changes coming up in their respective niche markets. You can get the latest software etc. for pennies from them before it hits the open market.

3.4 New products

Regular listening in your market also has another advantage. Gather enough intelligence to create new or even complementary products. This may mean reviewing your entire product line from start to finish.

These are what those gurus call UPDATES, which are actually the new and improved version of the same thing!
