In this edition of halo reach tips and halo reach tricks, I will discuss how to time weapons. Weapon timing is a high priority for expert players. If you don’t time the guns, you deserve the great fat loss you just received. A good player knows when a power weapon is about to appear and places himself in the map area when it appears. This is the key to victory against good players.

Weapon spawn times can be discovered by simply going to any map and using the forge mode to pick up a weapon and check its times. Here’s an example on the boardwalk map.

Rocks 3:00
Snipers 2:00
Shot 2:00
Plasma Launcher 3:00

You can see that most power weapons respawn every three minutes. This is a good rule of thumb when it comes to electric weapons. I suggest you memorize all the times on each map. This will give you a huge advantage over sloppy players. Weapons don’t just respawn every two or three minutes. The timer starts when the weapon is picked up on most high powered weapons. Power weapons operate on what is known as a drop spawn system in MLG settings, this means the weapons drop at certain times each time, unless times are dirty. This is not the case in normal matchmaking, so if you pick up a sniper at 12:45, that is, within two minutes, the weapon will respawn at 10:45 unless that weapon is still there. in use or on someone’s back and empty. For all intensive purposes though the weapon will spawn at its set interval after it has been picked up.
