Gerald Green: Sean Williams is NBA material

Many people were shocked to hear that Sean Williams has been permanently expelled from Boston College. men’s basketball team for violation of team rules. Tea The violations were not specified. Gerald Green was no different when he heard the news. He was stunned by it.

Gerald Green has worked with Sean Williams during the summer of 2006 at the John Lucas basketball camp held in Houston. Green got to know what it was like to drive the ball under Williams’ massive frame. William is 6 foot 10.

At a news conference after the Celtics lost to Sacramento 96-91 at TD Banknorth Garden, Green said the decision to cut Williams from the varsity basketball team really surprised him. He hopes Williams still has a chance to play in the league despite what happened. Green went on to say that Williams was a good person to talk to.

It is more eminent that Williams enter the NBA draft rather than transfer to another program. The bigger question, however, is whether Williams is ready for the league. The Boston College junior’s offense has shown significant improvement this season, but playing in the NBA is a totally different ballgame.

Green went from high school directly to the Celtics last season. It’s just that he has to round out his game in an acceptable way in the NBA. Green can attest to the fact that playing in the NBA is completely different from playing college basketball.

Green said no one on the college basketball circuit is ready for the NBA, but he felt Williams had the potential for the NBA.
