This is what happened to me this past weekend. I’m going to tie my perfect sports weekend to my earning money from home business and the attitude you need to have if you’re going to be successful. I seriously doubt that you can avoid what I am about to write.

On Friday night, my Denver Nuggets were playing the best team in the East, the Cleveland Cavaliers. This was the last weekend to play without top scorer Carmelo Anthony, who has been out for a month on suspension for fighting in one game. The Nuggets played a very good game and were able to pull away at the end and get the win. It was a great game to watch.

They got on a plane at 1:00 am and flew to Houston for a Saturday night game against the Rockets. Definitely a tough game. With 10 minutes left in the game, the Nuggets were down by 13 points. They then started to work their way back and actually tied the game up late. Over time! In overtime, the Nuggets were able to get past the Rockets and get the improbable back-to-back win. Another great game to watch. What a weekend so far!

Sunday night is the AFC Championship game between the Indianapolis Colts and the New England Patriots in Indy. The Colts should be the favorites, but the Patriots have had their number in recent years and Colts quarterback Payton Manning has been labeled “can’t win the big one.” So what happens is the Colts trail 21-3 in the second quarter and go into halftime trailing 21-6.

The second half has great football. They go back and forth until at the last minute the Colts score a touchdown to take their first lead of the game and hold on to win 38-34. It was the biggest comeback in the history of an AFC playoff game. At one game, Payton Manning shakes off his tag and is now heading to the Super Bowl. What a great game.

I love watching sports on TV. This weekend also reminded me of my business of making money from home. When things are going well, there is no better feeling in the world than working for yourself at home. It is the highest of maximums. The other side of the coin is that things often don’t go well. Especially when you’re just starting out.

The attitude you must have then is to recognize the feeling you have when things are going well. Don’t forget that feeling. You will need it on bad days. This is when your attitude is really going to be tested. Your ability to stay the course and keep working hard until you have more good days than bad is what separates the winners from the losers.
