Aloo Paneer Cat

Preparation time 10 minutes

Cooking time 15 minutes

for 4 people

INGREDIENTS

3 cups paneer (cottage cheese, diced)

2 cups baby potatoes, boiled

25mm (1″) piece of ginger

5 to 6 green chilies, finely chopped

2 tablespoons chaat masala

juice of 1 lemon

5 to 6 tablespoons of oil

Salt to taste

FOR THE GARNISH

1/4 cup chopped cilantro

Now we will prepare the Aloo Paneer chaat.

The ingredients for Aloo paneer Chaat are peas, paneer, aloo, lemon juice, ginger, chaat masala, green chillies and salt.

We will take a frying pan and add 2 teaspoons of oil. Spread the oil by lifting the pan and moving it very gently.

Put the cottage cheese cubes in the pan.

Fry until golden brown, while stirring gently.

When it’s golden, take it to a plate.

Keep a tissue paper on the plate before adding the cottage cheese, so the tissue paper soaks up the oil.

Now in the same pan, we could put the potatoes. You can also choose to add a little oil, if necessary.

Stir these as you fry, just until the small potatoes turn reddish brown.

Now we will take them on a plate. The plate would have tissue paper over it, to soak up the oil.

Keep the baby potatoes boiled before you start so they fry quickly.

Now we’ll add ginger to the pan, spread it out well, and then add the green peas.

Then we can skip it a bit.

Next, we add chaat masala to the mix, followed by green chili and lime juice.

We will skip the mixture more.

Then we will add the baby fried potatoes that we had reserved to the mixture.

This would now be ready in no time. We can turn off the gas.

Next, we’ll add the cottage cheese cubes to the mix. Mix well.

Now, we will add salt to taste.

We can now take this in a bowl.

Aloo Paneer’s chat is now ready to be served.
