Outdoor PvP in Zangarmarsh

When it comes to PvP zones, Zangarmarsh is one of the most popular additions to the Burning Crusade continent of Outland. The area itself is home to numerous streams and pools, representing the calm and serene settings of the Draenei. The area itself is home to the Twin Spire Ruins, the target of the Horde and Alliance factions in open-air PvP battles.

The towers themselves are located near the southern shore of Serpent Lake and the area around them makes up another outdoor PvP arena. The objective for both sides is to control the beacons on the eastern and western ends of the area and retrieve the flag from the tower located in the middle. By controlling the tower in the center of the area, your faction gains control of the graveyard, gains NPC rewards, and collects buffs from the area.

In order to capture the beacons on either the east and west towers, players must gather together and have more people in the area for their faction. Over time, the beacon will eventually become the possession of the side with the most people. The Alliance will get a blue beacon while the Horde will get a red beacon. To get the central tower, both beacons must first be controlled by the same faction.

After a faction has taken the beacons from both towers, that faction can approach certain NPCs and get flags to use in taking the central tower. Any NPC can be found in Telredor and Zabra’jin. Players who pick up these flags will appear with large flags on their backs. In order to finally capture the central tower, a player only needs to bring the flag back to the central tower. After a player is defeated with a flag, another player can visit NPCs and pick one up. After the beacons change, NPCs will stop handing out flags.

rewards

For those servers where a faction can gain control of the central tower, that faction will get certain rewards. They immediately gain access to use the graveyard in Twin Spire Ruins. They also pick up a 5% damage buff.

In addition to in-game bonuses, by controlling the central tower, players can earn reputation tokens for all honorable kills in the area. To use these tokens, players need to visit the NPCs listed above and turn them in for special items. The same tokens found here can be used on the Hellfire Peninsula as the tokens are the same.
