Online dating is full of red flags, but so is offline dating. Some of the red flags to look for are:

When you ask for their last name, they ask “why?” Yes, this has happened to me! I was entering your full name in my online address book!

Watch for these red flags…

They refuse to talk about “specific” things about themselves. You will never know anything “exactly”. You’ll never know the “exact” where they grew up… the “exact” year they graduated… the full “exact” name of the company they work for.

They will never give you a clear understanding of your current relationship status. And every time she attempts clarification, a sign of sudden detour appears.

Watch for these red flags…

They want to know everything about you. They don’t want you to omit any detail.

They will tell you little or nothing about their family. They won’t tell you anything about past relationships.

Information about your children changes from conversation to conversation. I recently found out that one of my “single kid” friends has a set of 15 year old twins! Kind of weird the way it happens… one day they’re kids… and suddenly there’s teenage twins! That’s not just a red flag… that’s a blind red flag as a bat!

Watch for these red flags…

They are never available nights and weekends. They are not online, you cannot reach them on the phone number they have given you. Then, just like the work of the clock, bright and early on Monday morning they show up!

When it comes to online dating, there are always red flags. But we have to choose to acknowledge them and then deal with them!
