The promising phrase won’t apply to comedian Kyle Kinane for much longer. He has already taped an episode of Comedy Central’s Giveaways to air this year, and spent the entire summer touring as the opening act for Patton Oswalt. A fixture on the Los Angeles comedy scene, Kyle originally began performing stand-up comedy in Chicago before embarking on the journey westward and establishing himself as a Los Angeles comedy star. Jon Huck is another Chicago-native comedian making his way onto the Los Angeles comedy scene. When he’s not doing comedy shows in Los Angeles, he can be seen appearing in national commercials or as a guest on any number of comedy radio shows. Jon Huck has a free-dominated, self-deprecating style and has acted on nearly every Los Angeles comedy show. Another Comedy Garage founding father, Paul Danke, is fast becoming a fan favorite on the Los Angeles comedy circuit. Paul Danke performs in the hottest underground shows for comedians, shows like Tiger Lilly, Holy F! @K and 12 Shiny Nickels. Paul Danke was educated at the prestigious Groundlings comedy theater, and his humorous style is what you think of when you think of comedy in Los Angeles. Paul Danke is making a name for himself nationally with his popular tweets often featured on Witstream, a service from comedian Michael Ian Black that highlights the funniest tweets.

Nick Rutherford rose to fame online with his hilarious video clips that he created with his comedy group Good Neighbor. While many people may know Nick from his sketch comedy group, his work as a comedian is not to be missed. Nick’s adventurous acts and sharp perceptions led him to perform all over the Los Angeles comedy circuit.

These aren’t the only emerging comedians in Los Angeles, every week new comedians move to the city and join the ever-expanding talent pool of LA-based comedians. The Laugh Factory, Comedy Store, and Hollywood Improv are great places to go and see these new faces, as well as see some more established acts.
