Ahamefule – An impassioned plea

Ahamefule is a name of someone that means “My name must not be lost” or rather, “Keep the legacy”. It is a name carried by Nigerians of Igbo extraction. It’s an impassioned plea that reminds every Dick and Harry that the name they bear is very important and, as a result, must be preserved accordingly.

Africans know what it means to preserve a name, and therefore do their best to achieve it. In traditional Africa, whenever a man takes a wife and the woman is eventually found to be barren, efforts are made to divorce her to make way for another woman, who will produce children for the man. If the woman had daughters, meaning they would soon marry and take another man’s name, arrangements would be made to either marry another woman or leave one of the girls in her father’s house (i.e. not give her up). in marriage), so that she can have children who respond to the name of her father. In cases of impotence, the man secretly enters into an agreement with another man that he would be doing a man’s work for his wife, thus preserving his name through the children that would be produced.

Because of this word, AHAMEFULE, people can do anything legitimate or illegitimate to feel like they belong. Apart from the Igbo people of Nigeria, God gave every being a divine mandate not to abandon his ways. Those who do well to preserve the legacy are honored, and as a result, people have been fighting to be in God’s good book so their names won’t be lost. But no matter how we try, at one time or another, man has always tried to go his own way, regardless of what God says. According to biblical stories, the land of Egypt at one point witnessed the tearing apart of what was put together in creation by a foreign hand, because Pharaoh wanted to make a name for himself: the Pharaoh who resisted the move of God! And he paid dearly for it. The reaction/punishment that followed was what Pharaoh needed to recognize the greater power of God, because no storm had devastated proud Egypt more than God’s storm.

Egypt, having occupied a prominent place in history, completely forgot where they came from, to the point of having a king who did not know Joseph, a man who had interpreted the dream of a previous king and then developed and managed the program preparing for the famine in Egypt. Without Joseph, Egypt could have been devastated by a devastating seven-year famine. God used him to save Egypt and made her grow stronger to the level of helping other nations, but Egypt forgot history and chose a king who had nothing to do with Joseph and his God.

There are so many nations in the world today, like Egypt, that was destined for world leadership under the direction of Almighty God. There is no doubt that God richly blessed these nations because of the righteous principles on which they were founded. With all the government that is at work in many of these nations, being interested in almost everything the people do, yet these nations seem intoxicated with the deadly poison of sin. At the root of sin is the absence of true parents in our world. The sin problem is a paternity problem, because sin is the result of a man, Adam, declaring himself independent of God, his Source and Father. Adam believed that he did not need a father and that he could be a father without the Father. It was then that the human race fell into rebellion against God, and as a result, man could be considered an “orphaned son” due to his choice. He imagines being orphaned by choice, homeless by choice, etc. So tragic! Can this be the story of his beloved nation? I asked why all the laws that your country could put in place cannot free a man or a woman from sin. When legislators tried to pass a bill banning speaking out against homosexuality in many of our countries today, did it heighten your fear, as it did mine? He was concerned that that law alone could have landed the majority of the world’s population in jail for violating it. I mean people who would rather obey God than men; people who cannot bear or tolerate certain ungodly acts that are infiltrating unsuspecting societies today.

Without a doubt, the world is a beautiful place with many good things that make him jealous of all its inhabitants. Many of these nations of the world are founded on righteous principles, but sinful men have gotten into government, some of them openly gay, who work day and night to propose and even work harder to pass wicked laws. These men do not know, or rather neglect, the godly or righteous principles on which these nations were founded, which is equivalent to the king of Egypt not knowing Joseph.

Many of us have come to the place where God is not even allowed to be in sporting events, schools, and government buildings, but is allowed to be in prisons. You can worship God whenever you want in prison. You can take whatever religion you want. In fact, the government has to provide religion to prisoners in prisons. They give them New Testament Bibles, but still forbid people to take those Bibles to schools for any reason; it may be that God is not allowed in the schools so that He has no place in the hearts of the children. Imagine the mother-men manipulating the absolutes of God.

Today, atheists are even challenging the Pledge of Allegiance in many countries. In so many places, ninety percent of the people are against removing pious phrases that are embedded in coins, buildings, public schools, etc. of their countries. What is surprising is that judges and legislators often listen to the 10 percent, but no one is sure whether an activist judge will not put his stamp of approval on it, one day, if it comes up. It was in this generation that a man woke up one morning accusing and suing God in a court of law. The man, who for 38 consecutive years has been a Senator for one part in the State of his country. He accused God of causing death, destruction and terrorism.

His accusation suggests that people have the right of counsel to accuse God in any case. People should sue God every time they lose a loved one, especially as a result of excessive narcotic use. People should sue God for failed elections; for being injured under the influence of alcohol, etc., because God made all things, good or bad. It may be that the man wanted the trial judge to drag God into his court, sentence him, and then imprison or hang him. It still puzzles me what exactly he really wanted. Was he trying to immortalize his name by simply trying to challenge God to a duel? That’s an insult. Men can do or say anything once they have a chance to fill their stomachs with bottles of booze and a plate of food. Isn’t it shameful that many intimidating university libraries in some countries are filled with all kinds of books except the Book of Books, the Bible? You dare not find a copy, not even in the reference sections.

When bad practices increase, the separation between good and evil becomes blurred and, as a result, people question this and that, hoping to get away with everything. A nation that is built on godly principles and values does not throw morality to the dogs. In one of the African countries, a man noted for his controversial lifestyle was accused of divorcing his 19-year-old wife, whom he married at 17 to settle for a 13-year-old girl. . As a legislator, this man was part of the group that enacted the Children’s Rights Act, which prohibits marriage to underage women. Today, this same man covers himself under the cloak of religion that absolves him of any offense, but he is still serving civil society, not a religious group. While governor of a state, he forced his people to employ a culture of modest dress, regardless of age, and did well to come to terms with his perceived adversaries quickly, without going to court to find loopholes. However, through the courts many people have lost a flood of sin over their nation. At this time, babies can be killed under the protection of the law, against God’s express command, “Thou shalt not kill” (Exodus 20:13).

Marriage, which is God’s will for man, has been discredited to the point where couples actually live together before marriage, and divorce is gradually becoming the norm. The feminist movement, which opposes God’s norm that a woman submit to her husband, does not help at all. A married woman should know that God planted her in the home to take care of it, keep the house clean, put food on the table, do the laundry, and make the beds, not to run around the neighborhood. In a home, parents take proper care of their children and do not raise them in nurseries, because the home is meant to be a haven for children.

The enemy of our lives, Satan, is seriously fighting against all that is good in us, including in our nation; so we have to fight him and not give in to his antics or tricks. Like the men who founded many of the world’s great nations, we too must not give up, but rather press on and ascend to our final reward, lest Our names be lost. We must remember that justice exalts a nation, but sin is a disgrace to any people, so we must learn again to walk on the just principles on which our great nations were built. God demands 100 percent obedience from us: we cannot be his children and behave like orphans by continually disobeying him. Our attitudes should not show us as orphans or bastards – we have a Father, who loves us and cares for us. Therefore, let us stand up against Satan’s evil tendencies against us and our nations because we are not descended from the blues – we have an origin; a present and a future. God bless the world, over and over again.
