I took the time to attend Tissa Godavitatne’s free webinars for the Acme People Search Engine Affiliate Program this week (Thursdays and Saturdays at 12am Singapore time!). As a practicing IT manager in Singapore, working until the wee hours of the morning was no problem :-). I made a list of things I wanted to clear up about Tissa and was looking forward to my first 2 webinars with the man on Thursday and Friday nights.

Question from Adrian: How does Acme People Search Engine make money for you?

Tissa Answered: For referrals and product sales!

There are seven streams of income in your back office. You can earn income from sales of digital products from Clickbank, HD Publishing, MyLife, and Google AdSense, as well as affiliate commissions.

You earn referral fees for recruiting affiliates for Lunar Pages, GDI, and Acme’s own people search engine. In short, you will earn income from MyLife, Google AdSense, HD Publishing, GDI, Lunar Pages, Clickbank and of course search engine referral fees.

Question from Adrian: What is this “business opportunity” you speak of?

Tissa replied: The option to join Global Domains International, which gives you web hosting, a free website builder, a domain name, and 10 email addresses.

Joining GDI gives you the opportunity to earn residual income with their referral program that runs 5 levels deep. Acme’s People Search Engine builds your GDI downline for you!

Question from Adrian: How do you drive traffic to your Acme people search engine pre-sales and landing pages?

Tissa replied: Paid (PPC highly recommended) and free web traffic!

yahoo! Search Marketing, Microsoft AdCenter and Google AdWords are the main sources of paid traffic. If you want to realize your full earning potential, you must learn PPC.

However, if you are just starting out, the following FREE sources of TARGETED traffic are recommended.

– Article Submission: – Squidoo Lenses, Ezine Articles and Blogs

– Video submission: – Upload your video demos to Metacafe, Google Video and YouTube

– Marketing in social networks: – Facebook, Myspace, LinkedIn and Twitter,

– Email Campaigns: – Aweber and GetResponse autoresponders do a great job and don’t spam!

Free traffic sources NOT recommended

– Text ad locations.

– List builders

– Email Blasters

– safe lists

The traffic you get from the above sources is not targeted AND can be blacklisted for spam. Of course, use them if you’re experienced (you’re still at risk of a spam complaint), but NOT if you’re just starting out.

Question from Adrian: What is your opinion on search engine optimization?

Tissa replied: A Google search result is divided into 2 types. ie organic and sponsored results. The first contains a list of indexed websites arranged in order of relevance, content, backlinks, keyword quality and page rank. SEO is the process of optimizing your website so that it shows up very high for a given keyword, ideally on the first page of a Google search. It’s a completely different ball game. You must learn PPC to drive traffic to your Acme People Search Engine and Presell pages.

Each webinar was supposed to be ONE hour long, but they ran close to the two hour mark both times! This guy must be crazy to pay for that much bandwidth, but he WANTS us to succeed, remember?
