4 tips for proper sitting posture

You don’t have to learn proper posture when sitting alone to look amazingly sexy, although that could be a plus. If you don’t know how to sit properly, you tend to develop back pain and discomfort.

1. Make sure your feet are on the ground. Usually, if your feet don’t touch the floor, your reaction is to move forward a bit, perhaps much closer to the table. Because your back won’t have any support by then, you can freely arch it, like a hunchback.

If you find it difficult to put your feet on the ground, you may want to use a footrest. This is also essential, so you can avoid leg cramps.

2. Your back should be attached to the back of the chair. If you are sitting in a chair, such as in his office, you must make sure that his back is always flat against the chair. This is so that your back is always aligned. If not, it means you might already be slouching or leaning too far forward at your desk or monitor.

3. Shoulders should be straight. You have to keep this in mind, especially if you are sitting in a chair without a back. This also means that you may have to stick your chest out and pull your stomach in even when sitting.

4. Take time to stand up. Even if you have the best ergonomic chair in the world, it’s still essential that you can find time to stand up and walk away from your chair. This way, you can stretch and exercise a bit.

Proper sitting posture can go a long way toward achieving optimal health. You would be taking care of not only your back but also your spinal cord.
