Imperfectly perfect parents!

For all single moms, they are imperfectly perfect! The curves and twists in their lives are exactly where and how they are supposed to be. So do not worry. Now, I know all this not-worrying is easier said than done. I also know that you don’t always feel like you can do everything, but the truth is that you can. And it does. Well, maybe you don’t do it all literally, but you sure do it figuratively. And that doesn’t surprise me one iota. After all, moms have superpowers that only moms can have.

Did you know that studies show that female embryos develop their hearing and vision faster than their male counterparts? Girls are born with an advantage in hearing and seeing baby boys. Women are born with the superpowers of the bionic woman to hear and the superpowers of Superman to see. These innate superpowers naturally lead to having those mother superpowers of simply knowing things. Some call it a mother’s intuition, I call it SUPERMOM! Come on … We all know that moms see and hear everything. No one can lie to mom or cheat on mom; Like Wonder Woman’s lasso, Mom knows the truth before the conversation ends …

The bottom line here is that all single moms are not only imperfectly perfect parents, they are also enough. That’s how it is. You heard that correctly. You are enough. And how not to be enough since we all know that you also have superpowers. You see, your children have a lot when they have you. You are part of them and they are part of you. And I think that’s pretty good too, don’t you think? Listen, believe me when I tell you that it is enough and that nothing more needs to be added.

Now, as my grandfather always said: “Go learn, lead and open the way to a better world for all of us.” Single mothers, you are imperfectly perfect, and that’s fine. And once again parents, thank you in advance for all that you do and all that you will do …
