Glutathione Vs Glutamine

What is the difference between glutathione and glutamine?

Glutathione is an antioxidant, one of the most powerful antioxidant particles in the human body, while glutamine is an amino acid. However, glutathione is also said to be an amino acid but of a different type, since it is a material that results from several types of amino acids. This material is also beneficial to the body as an antioxidant, helping to prevent cancer from occurring by preventing carcinogens and other cancer-causing substances from damaging important cellular components in the human body.

Both glutamine and glutathione are already produced naturally by the human body; however, both can also be further enhanced with external sources such as natural glutathione supplement and glutamine supplement.

These two substances may look the same, but their functions and effects in the body are very different from each other.

glutathione

The long name for this is glutamylcysteinylglycine, and as mentioned above, it is an antioxidant and is also made from various types of amino acids, such as glutamate, cysteine, and glycine. You may have also noticed that the long name of glutathione includes these three amino acids.

One of the main functions of glutathione is to control the types of bonds created between proteins and other substances in the body. Another of its many functions is to help the human body absorb and make use of other amino acids.

There are many varieties of natural glutathione supplements out there today, so you better be familiar with their benefits:

1. Anti-aging. This is one of the known benefits of these supplements. This antioxidant recycles vitamins C and E, which helps protect the body against the causes of aging.

2. Detoxifies the body. This antioxidant also benefits from being able to control immune cells and detoxify parts of the body, such as the liver. Another way that glutathione helps cleanse the body is by removing unwanted heavy metals, such as mercury.

glutamine

Glutamine can also be an amino acid like glutathione, but it is the richest in the human body. Glutamine has an essential role and that is to remove ammonia, a waste product, from the body. Its other functions also include the maintenance of normal function of the immune system, the digestive system, and the brain.

There are numerous glutamine supplements these days and they are available in the form of drugs or even raw foods. Medicines, however, are sensitive to heat, so it is recommended to take them with cold water or at room temperature.

Glutamine supplement benefits include:

• Helps keep the brain healthy by providing various substances such as glutamic acid and gamma-aminobutyric acid that also help the brain function properly. This also helps in the mental health of a person to help him think properly and clearly, thus avoiding cases of mental illness.

• Like glutathione, it also promotes antiaging by slowing the causes and effects of aging.

• Other benefits of glutamine supplementation include helping to maintain proper kidney function and also boosting the immune system to prevent disease and infection.

• These vitamins can also help wounds heal faster.
