Card Tables – How to Maintain and Clean Them Properly

Card tables are such a versatile home entertainment piece of furniture and many people buy them to play cards and the like in the comfort of their home. Many are realizing the amount of money and time they are saving by not going out as much and by spending quality time with close friends and family at home. Card tables and chairs are used primarily to host card games; it’s like bringing the casino home minus travel time, etc.

There is a one-time investment when buying your card table game, but that investment will provide you with many years of fun and entertainment. In order for your table to last for years, you definitely need to maintain, clean, and maybe even repair if necessary. Maintaining your table is not that difficult as long as you follow these simple steps:

  1. Storage – When storing your tables, make sure the storage area is dry to prevent the table from shaping. It is also best to have a storage area that has less traffic than normal to prevent someone from stepping on or tipping over the table.
  2. Food and drinks – If you are organizing a card game night at your house and you invite some friends, you should make sure you eat first before you start playing. Wash your hands before starting the game to remove food grease from your chips, playing cards, etc.
  3. Tighten those bolts – Over time, table legs and chart table chairs may loosen a bit. Get a flat or Philips screwdriver and tighten all the screws to avoid any unstable movement.
  4. Brush your felt – Most gaming table surfaces are covered with that traditional table felt that you are familiar with. The best way to clean the felt surface is with a light brush that many pool table owners use to clean their tables.

Take good care of your furniture and it will bring you many years of excitement and enthusiasm with close friends and family. Remember to do a little routine maintenance if you want your game table to be the last one. There are other purposes you can use a table for besides playing cards, so don’t think you need to use them for just one reason. There are many events that require an additional table and chairs, such as birthday parties, dinner parties, lemonade stands for your children, etc.
