Cancun Real Estate – Nature, Culture and Convenience

What do you imagine when you think of Cancun? Luxury hotels, on a beautiful beach? Perhaps the thousands of spring breakers who go every year? While these are definitely part of Cancun, this city has much more to offer. If you buy real estate in Cancun, you will discover that both in terms of beaches, nature and culture there is much more here than the things that normally attract the most attention.

Whether you purchase an oceanfront condo or a downtown home, you’ll have very close access to over 50 miles of oceanfront! Both because of where you live, and because of other places you visit, there are the main beaches that are in the center of tourist activity, close to the nightclubs and bars, and the main hotels; these beaches are in a “intern” place, with many activities and many different people. But as you live here, you’ll also discover your own personal choices for beaches, perhaps a bit more secluded, with fewer events; perhaps your choice will depend on your mood that day.

Perhaps the aspect of Cancun that receives the least attention is that of culture. The city includes several museums and art galleries. Local art exhibits display a variety of creativity, offering both traditional Mexican styles and very modern works. Live music ranges from rock bars to live jazz in the areas near the beach. There are also annual film festivals.

One area that draws the most attention (and for good reason) is the surrounding nature and sightseeing possibilities. Whether it’s jet skiing or sailing in the ocean, ziplining or riding ATVs through the jungle, there are many interactive ways to enjoy the natural diversity of this area. In a couple of hours, there are dozens of Mayan ruins. For those who enjoy a good game of golf, the hotel district has a few courses, and the area just south of Cancun is home to 8 large courses, one of which is hosting the first Latin American PGA event!

Of course, there is also a very wide range of modern services within the city. Large shopping malls, elegant open-air plazas, movies on the big screen, several excellent hospitals with affordable prices, make life comfortable. Cancun real estate enjoys the benefit of picturesque access roads, complete urban infrastructure (including high-speed Internet), and much more. The international airport is the busiest in Mexico and offers a variety of direct and affordable flights.

Cancun is growing and, within a few years, it is expected to be the largest city in the Yucatan Peninsula. This means more services to come, but it also means there will be more little hidden gems to find for yourself; this is also true for the surrounding area. Following the success of Cancun, many beachfront towns and colonial cities have begun to develop their tourism potential, providing more places to visit and a wide variety of lifestyle options.
